Renter Agreement

FlexiFleet Technologies Inc. · Saskatchewan, Canada

This Renter Agreement supplements the FlexiFleet Terms of Service and governs your use of vehicles booked through the FlexiFleet Platform. By completing a booking, you agree to these terms.

1. Renter Eligibility

To rent a vehicle on FlexiFleet, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age (25 for vehicles in the Luxury category, unless otherwise specified)
  • Hold a valid, unrestricted driver's licence recognised in Saskatchewan (Class 5 or higher, or foreign equivalent with at least 2 years of driving experience)
  • Not hold a Graduated Driver Licence (GDL / Class 7 / Class 7L)
  • Not have more than 6 demerit points on your Saskatchewan driving record within the past 3 years
  • Not have a suspended or revoked licence at any time in the past 3 years
  • Complete FlexiFleet's identity verification
  • Provide a valid payment method

2. Renter Responsibilities During Rental

During the rental period, you must:

  • Operate the vehicle safely and in compliance with all applicable laws
  • Not permit any person other than an approved additional driver to operate the vehicle
  • Not use the vehicle for commercial purposes (e.g., ridesharing via Uber/Lyft, courier delivery) unless expressly permitted in writing by the Host
  • Not transport the vehicle outside of Saskatchewan without prior written consent from the Host and FlexiFleet
  • Not use the vehicle to tow or haul loads beyond its rated capacity
  • Not operate the vehicle on off-road terrain, unpaved roads, or in any manner not consistent with normal passenger vehicle use, unless the vehicle is specifically listed for such use
  • Keep the vehicle locked when unattended
  • Not smoke inside the vehicle
  • Return the vehicle with the fuel level specified in the booking (typically “same-to-same”)
  • Report any accidents, damage, or theft to FlexiFleet and the Host immediately

3. Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections

You are required to complete the Renter portion of both the pre-trip and post-trip inspections. This includes reviewing the vehicle's recorded condition, taking photos, and providing a digital signature. Your signature confirms that you have inspected the vehicle and agree with the recorded condition at that time.

Important:Failure to complete the pre-trip inspection before driving the vehicle means you accept the vehicle “as-is” and waive your right to dispute pre-existing damage claims.

4. Damage Liability

You are responsible for any damage to the vehicle that occurs during your rental period that is not documented in the pre-trip inspection. Your liability is determined by comparing the pre-trip and post-trip inspection records.

Maximum Liability. Your maximum out-of-pocket liability per rental is the lesser of: (a) the actual repair cost; or (b) the security deposit held on your booking. SGI coverage applies to third-party claims per the applicable SGI program.

Excluded Damage. You are not responsible for damage caused by normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage documented in the pre-trip inspection, or damage caused solely by a third party acting in bad faith.

5. Traffic Violations and Tolls

You are solely responsible for all traffic violations, parking fines, and tolls incurred during your rental period. If FlexiFleet or the Host receives a fine or penalty arising from your rental, we will charge the amount to your payment method on file, plus an administration fee of $25 CAD.

6. Prohibited Drivers

The vehicle may only be operated by you as the registered Renter and any additional drivers approved in writing at the time of booking. Allowing an unauthorised person to drive the vehicle is a material breach of this Agreement and may void all insurance coverage.

7. Insurance Coverage

Basic third-party liability coverage under SGI's applicable program is included in your booking. You are encouraged to review the SGI coverage terms. FlexiFleet is not responsible for any coverage gaps arising from: (a) excluded uses listed above; (b) operation by an unauthorised driver; (c) your failure to complete required inspections; or (d) violation of any term of this Agreement.

8. Cancellation

Cancellations are subject to the FlexiFleet Cancellation Policy. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the trip start time will forfeit the full booking amount unless the Host has specified a more flexible policy.

9. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with a Host, you must raise it within 48 hours of trip completion through the Platform. See the Dispute Policy for the full process.
