This Host Agreement supplements the FlexiFleet Terms of Service and governs your participation as a vehicle Host on the FlexiFleet Platform. By listing a vehicle, you agree to these additional terms.
1. Vehicle Eligibility Requirements
To list a vehicle on FlexiFleet, your vehicle must:
- Be registered in Saskatchewan in your name (or in the name of your company, if you are an authorised officer)
- Have a current Saskatchewan safety certificate (fitness certificate)
- Be no more than 10 model years old at the time of listing
- Have no outstanding SGI registration suspensions or seizures
- Carry valid SGI Autopac basic coverage at minimum
- Not be subject to a lien, security interest, or lease unless the lienholder or lessor has provided written consent for peer-to-peer rental use
- Pass FlexiFleet's vehicle approval review, including document verification
2. Host Verification Requirements
As a Host, you must:
- Complete FlexiFleet's identity verification process
- Provide a valid government-issued photo ID
- Provide a valid driver's licence (for your own vehicles)
- Connect a bank account via Stripe Connect to receive payouts
- Provide your Social Insurance Number (SIN) or Business Number (BN) for CRA T4A reporting purposes where required
- Accept the SGI Host Terms for peer-to-peer vehicle sharing
3. Vehicle Listing Standards
You must provide accurate and complete information in your vehicle listing, including:
- Accurate photographs showing the current condition of the vehicle (minimum 4 photos required)
- Current and accurate pricing
- Accurate vehicle specifications (make, model, year, VIN, licence plate)
- Any known damage, mechanical issues, or restrictions
- Accurate availability calendar
Misrepresentation of a vehicle's condition or features may result in immediate suspension and forfeiture of pending payouts.
4. Host Obligations During Bookings
For each booking, you must:
- Respond to booking requests within 24 hours
- Make the vehicle available at the agreed pickup time and location
- Complete the host portion of the pre-trip inspection (including photos and digital signature)
- Complete the host portion of the post-trip inspection upon vehicle return
- Report any damage discovered at return within 48 hours via the Platform
- Keep the vehicle clean, fuelled to the agreed level, and in mechanically sound condition
5. Payouts and Tax Obligations
Payouts. Hosts receive 80% of the booking subtotal after the 12% Platform fee. Payouts are processed within 2 business days of trip completion, subject to any applicable hold period.
Payout Holds.Payouts may be held during open disputes, insurance claims, or at FlexiFleet's discretion for fraud review. Holds will not exceed 30 days except where required by law or an ongoing investigation.
Tax Reporting. Income earned through the Platform is taxable income. FlexiFleet will issue a T4A slip for Hosts who earn $500 CAD or more in a calendar year. Hosts are solely responsible for reporting and remitting all applicable taxes.
6. Commercial Host Requirements
If you list more than 3 vehicles, you are considered a Commercial Host and may be subject to additional obligations under the Saskatchewan Traffic Safety Act and SGI commercial vehicle regulations. Commercial Hosts must notify FlexiFleet and provide a valid Business Number.
7. Prohibited Uses
As a Host, you may not:
- List vehicles you do not have the legal right to rent
- List vehicles that are subject to an outstanding recall that affects safety
- Discriminate against Renters on the basis of race, sex, religion, national origin, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Circumvent the Platform payment system to collect payment directly from Renters
- Use the Platform to conduct fraudulent or deceptive activities
8. Host Insurance Acknowledgement
By listing your vehicle, you acknowledge that: (a) you have disclosed your participation in the FlexiFleet pilot to your personal vehicle insurer where required; (b) you understand that SGI's per-trip coverage supplements, and in some circumstances may replace, your personal vehicle insurance during active rental periods; and (c) you accept sole responsibility for any coverage gap arising from your failure to comply with insurer disclosure requirements.
9. Account Suspension
FlexiFleet may suspend or terminate your Host account if: (a) your vehicle fails to maintain eligibility requirements; (b) you accumulate a pattern of negative reviews or complaints; (c) you are found to have misrepresented your vehicle or identity; (d) a dispute or claim is determined to involve Host misconduct; or (e) you violate any provision of this Agreement.
